Description Friday the 13th turned out to be the lucky day for me during my latest toledo zoo visit, Baru graced me with over 100 plus photos of him without crowds to get in the way. This is one of several close ups I got of his eye, but only one is needed to get the point across. Also got some better full body shots of Baru when he was in the shallower water near the sandy beach but I still have yet to see him completely outside of the water, it seems he only does so at night after hours according to the two keepers I talked to during my visit. Taken at Toledo Zoo in Toledo, Ohio on September 13th, 2013.

It's beautiful. Were I a tribesmen from long ago I would worship this.

These animals could've certainly been worshipped as gods by ancient aboriginals, especially the largest ones.

My favorite crocodile photo I have taken so far, and I hope to get an even better shot with his eye prominently in the center if I ever get a macro lens in the future, and I am still waiting to see him completely out of the water.

It was easier for me to get some full body shots of Baru last Friday with the algae and reeds removed from his pool that was in there during his public debut for his privacy. He's gotten more used to visitors by now to no longer need that. Still haven't gotten him fully out of the water yet, it seems he does that at night after hours. Depending on the perspective, he sometimes appears absolutely gigantic and massive, some other times a little more slender, that's the fun part of the new solarium he lives in.
