Ugh, I hated how they wrote him out after ignoring him for the entire season.

It's not really the creators' fault. Eion left to try and pursue his own show, so they couldn't use August for most of the season. I think it's kind of obvious that Eion wasn't all that committed to the show, so the creators found a way to keep the character while letting the main actor go. And honestly, I'd like to see more of the kid, the show needs more children (Hansel, Gretel, and Alexandra haven't been seen since the first season, so... yeah)
