It's mostly just so I can see the clear difference between the two layers of lips before I start coloring. Since it is on a separate layer, when I go to color the lips, I lock the pixels on the line art layer so I can color the upper lip without it muddling up the bottom lip(which is on a layer below the upper lip). c:
