I love anthros...I'm kinda addcited to them lol. I think the thing that really makes this pic stand out is the pencil lines...they're so clean, and the variety of thick and thin lines is the icing on the cake. WOW

Looks like you were kinda pushing the 3 fingers and a thumb deal, like you decided against four fingers as evidenced by the gap in her right (viewer's left) hand. I don't entirely agree about the arms being out of anatomical proportion. It's just that the way I view it (her hand being on her hip) it would appear as if the elbow would have to be coming almost straight at the viewer for the proportions to be correct which in not what the position of her shoulder implies. You should draw the feet! I always draw the entire character, whether I intend on using the whole pic or not.
Well, other than the line art being spectacular, I love the shirt. I've got this intense love of symmetry, but every once in a while the off-kilter really speaks to me. Great job!

Man Reflex! How ever do you notice these things! I actually did have 4 fingers on the hand, then realized it didn't match the other so I erased one and tried to slide the fingers over. You have a good eye! I wanted to see how 3 fingers would look, but I think next time I'm going back to 4. As for the feet, well... I'm kinda out of paper ^^ I draw fairly big so I don't have room for the whole character. I do actually like a cropped figure composition though. More than often I do that on purpose.

Come up with a bio! that's where you need to start...then find the situation that will motivate the character...then make up characters around her ^_^ Thats how I do it.

I am in love with how you draw hair, her tail, too looks really furry and pettable. Her expression looks so ass kicking, though, that I'd be afraid to touch her.
I think for the arms, what I always keep in mind is that the elbow, when the arm is held against the body, meets up with the bottom of the rib cage. Your arms are always the right length, it's just the elbow that sometimes finds a slightly off position.
I really like her top, too, it seems like the sort of design you'd see in the design school fashion shows around here. *heart*

As far as critique is concerned, the only area that bugs me slightly is where the arm meets the shoulder. The shoulders appear to suggest that she has arms close to her body and yet the arms are possitioned differently. (Although I think I'm in no position to give anatomy related criticism because I struggle with it on my own, so I could be wrong)

Love her design. :0 There's something about her face that I like a lot. Must be that eyebrow piercing. I just think it looks awesome. :3 The outfit you designed for her also looks wicked. Especially those things around her arms and her neck (looks like fishnets or whatever they're called. I can't even remember their French name so yea T_T;; ). It's funky how her hair is curly and spiky at the same time. Your sketch are always so clean and neat~!
