I wanted to draw something snowy. AND some Mew-fanart. YES.

Uh.
Okay, most of those who also play PokΓ©mon will laugh at me now, but anyway: I started to play my Red Edition again (that is like woooah, nostalgia-flash! D: ) and i tried the Mew Glitch for the very first time: And it worked, OMG. I caught my very first Mew! <3
You know, when i was young (and the world only knew 151 PokΓ©mon back then - ah, those glory, manageable times
), the question of getting Mew was quite THE terrific topic. Even now, I think my heart stopped for a second when that Mew actually appeared on my display. XD I called it "Immer". (German for "Always") And it grows. OMG, i have a Mew.
And yes, i also have a Vulpix called Sin.
Will become a Ninetails very soon. Yes. I'm eleven again. Ignore me. D:

The first thing I did when I got my smartphone was put GBA emulator on and fired up Red, Yellow, and Silver.
Back in the day Gamefreak had a promo at the trading card league competitions. Β The promo when I competed was an "official" Mew. Β Now I realize the used a code modifier, kind of like a gameshark, that they use for QC testing to give me my Mew. Β I know exactly how you feel. Β I have had mine since I first played my Pkmn Red and after 14 years I still tear up.

Lol its funny I found this cause I just caught my very first legit Mew on my Pokemon Yellow!
I freaked out knowing actually it worked all on my first try and I caught it within 2 ball throws

Mew was so innocent and pure i loved the personality of the pokemon, eventhough it was pure and kind it protected the innocent pokemon

I know I'm late, but nice one! I have been waiting for a Mew event for a few years that I can go to. And I really don't like wi-fi events. On the verge of getting a cheating device for the dang thing!

I wasn't introduced to PokΓ©mon until there were 493, but if I'd been with PokΓ©mon all the way, I sure would miss how easy it was to catch 'em all when there were just 151. I mean, really. 649? Only a serious PokΓ©mon addict could catch every one now. Especially because several of those are strictly event-only.
Luckily, event PokΓ©mon don't even have a blank entry in the PokΓ©dex until you encounter one, at which point they get a partial entry. So they're not necessary to complete the 'dex...
