Description
The tension in the air was palpable, your eyes locked with the young man's own cherry colored ones. Why you were both having a serious stare off was simple. There was a prize that both of you wanted. There would be fighting and absconds, subterfuge and lies, maybe even the legendary cold shoulder. Why all this fighting you may ask. The last apple juice was in the fridge. "Come on Strider. You know I will win" you said, smirking.

He laughed, "I would love to see you try." You quickly slid across the table, not caring about the damage to it and the vase that crashed on the floor. He flipped over a chair and prepared a kick. You quickly blocked with your forearms and attempted to throw a hit his way. He jumped back, giving you more time to reach the fridge. He tried to grab your arm but you ducked and swung the door open. You could see the heavenly light that was reflected of the juice. You grabbed the container and ran to the living room, you had to find a place to hide. The only rooms in the house with locks were the bathroom and the bedroom. The bathroom was on the other side of the house so you had to go for the second choice.

You flung himself over the couch and grabbed the bottle. Oh no he didn't. You growled at him and grabbed his ankles. When you had him pinned down you slid the bottle out of his hands. "Thank you so much," you told him with a large grin. He cursed and you left the scene. The bedroom was so close. You could practically taste the apple juice already. You didn't notice Dave behind you and he grabbed the back of your shirt and shoved you down. The juice went flying and your head made contact with a nearby coffee table. "Shit! I am so sorry," he began apologizing.

Honestly you felt no pain but you could use this to your advantage. You held your hands to your forehead and scanned the room for the juice. It was right by the door. This was to easy. "That hurt you bully!" you yelled, you even managed to make yourself fake cry. Who knew it would come in handy. He knelt down to check for damage and you grabbed his arms. His eyes widened and he knew that he lost. He let his guard down. You spun around and grabbed the juice, locking the door behind you.

When you stepped out you found him sprawled out on the couch. "Guess I won huh. It's kind of ironic really, you said I wouldn't win," you told him. He didn't reply. You frowned at his childish behaviour but knew it was to be expected. Looks like you had to go off to buy more. "Hey Dave I will be right back." You grabbed your keys and left.

You opened the door to find him sat up. You waved your bag around and called out, "Hey I have apple juice! Anybody want some?"

He turned, a large smile on his face and his eyes filled with hope. You held a bottle in your hand and you moved to the couch. He scooted next to you and began to speak, "Dude this is the best thanks so much!" You nodded and handed him the bottle.

"What are you watching?" You asked him He shrugged.

"Oh and by the way, there is only one left. I bought six," you explained.

He turned to you with a quizzical expression.

"I got thirsty," you explained.

"I call dibs," he stated.

"No way!" you told him, jumping up and running for the fridge with Dave close behind.

It was a never ending pattern for you two.
