My take on the public domain criminal mastermind Zigomar . My version was originally an research scientist and businessman who began stealing from his own company to finance medical treatments for his critically ill wife. As her condition worsened, he began conducting unauthorized experiments using technology acquired through the criminal underground. When his activities were discovered, he was arrested and his wife died while he was in prison. When he earned of his wife's death, Zigomar escaped and through his underworld contacts found work designing advanced weapons and technology for criminal gangs. When he had acquired enough resources he formed his own criminal gang, the Z Organization. Served by dozens of masked operatives cloned from the top female athletes of his day, Zigomar began assuming control of the various underworld networks that he had once served. But this was only a means to an end. Still haunted by what he saw as his wife's unnecessary death, he used the money and resources acquired through his growing criminal empire to fund research toward eternal life. Fatally wounded during an encounter with French secret agent Eriq LaRue , Zigomar was placed in suspended animation by his clone-daughter, Zigmora, who assumed control of the Z Organization.
