Rom encounters The Torpedo for the first time in issue#21 when The Torpedo mistakenly attacks Rom thinking he is a Dire Wraith Rocketeer. I've always thought that an interesting alternate story script concept would have been to have had the same thing happen between The Torpedo and Nova.Related content

torpedo like nova were faves to me that never truly got the respect/books they deserved...i'm talking early nova....never read the new series. great job depicting all three.Β I MISS TORPEDO (almost as much as ROM since he was so well depicted in ROM)...turbo never was a decent replacement to me.

actually, with that share, you have me wanting to love the character now, Marvel didn't abandon Torpedo completely as the costume still has lasting historic value..... but I still preferred the name torpedo... be it as a villain (daredevil 126,127,134 i had those, and and fell in love with him then), hero ( my fave issues of Marvel premiere, 39/40 own those too.)Β thanks lots my friend.

Iβm actually not a big New Warriors fan but that series had some fairly good Rom related continuity not to mention at least a couple with Sabra so I have some in my collection.

Hey, that's a fun collection of characters! I've actually managed to pick up the pre-ROM Torpedo appearances in Daredevil and Marvel Premiere. Looks like they tried to push him in the '70s, but he never really caught on. I think more people are familiar with him through the ROM comic of the '80s.
