Description An unweary traveller happened to take short trip to the seaside for relaxation. Innsmouth was rumoured to be a quiet location, which was exactly what he needed.
The residents were somewhat less than welcoming, the town itself was unsightly with collapsing buildings and abandoned motor-cars near every corner. This was not the exact atmosphere this man wanted, but he did his best not to get in their way.
Night rolled in swiftly, and the bus which he caught to arrive in Innsmouth was 'broken down', so the creepy driver said.
His only option was to stay at the local hotel, The Gilman House.
The desk clerk was somewhat more socialable, but still posessed a watery stare that never seemed to break until he headed up to his room upstairs.
The man's nerves were highly on edge. The Clerk stated that they had no guests, but there were deffinite sounds and strange croaking coming from the neighboring rooms.
"Just stress..." the man assured himself.
But no, the croaking and gurgling was deffinitely growing louder, and more agressive in tone.
Fear caught up with him and he began to push the book shelf near the door to his room in a panicking state.
The sounds began to grow louder, and he fancied that he could hear the eager whispers of people also outside his room.
There were masses of residents building up outside the Gilman House and were proceeding to head up to his room.
Then it struck, a mass of weight pushed against the door, pushing him and the bookshelf forward. Such strength this thing posessed. At first he concluded that a large mob was outside his door pushing forward, but that thought soon vanished as a large, scaly, clawed, webbed paw lashed through the gap in the door. What ever it was, it was winning the fight. The man quickly searched around the room for an escape, the far window overlooking the courtyard was his only escape. But if he was to leave the door, that thing would enter the room almost instantly. Now was the time to decide...

Like the use of Lovecraft, Gmod, and free writing to create the piece. Very creative

It's called a Murk Dweller. Not a deep one sadly
There's hardly any Lovecraft stuff on Gmod. But the map I made this in is actuall called "The Gilman House" which I was lucky to find ^_^
The Murk Dweller can be found on Gmod.org
