This whole scenario began just a few days ago, whe I joined a reliable (so I thought) Gmod server. Whilst playing, my screen picked up immense amounts of static, and truned black and white. I checked my filters (they add different effects to your view) and they were all off. All of the other players had the same thing.
Then came the fog. Fog is a pretty common occurance in most servers, as creating fog is in the options menu. But when a server produces fog, when there is no option to, thats when it becomes creepy.

A meeting was held for all the player, and we came to the conclusion that mingebags and hackers were to blame.
All we could do was continue playing.
But one by one, the players began to vanish. They weren't been kicked by the server admins, nor where they leaving. They were still on the server, but nowhere to be seen. Only their Physgun remained.

I was happily fixing a jeep I was making, when a sudden lag spike struck my player. The static picked up again, and my player was frozen. I was still able to flick through my inventory, so I flipped out my camera and too a picture. I succesfully was able to snap the odd filters plaguing my screen. But I was also able to capture more than my mind could handle.

Many belive there to be ghosts in some servers. Being able to mess with your contraptions and players. There has even been a few 'ghostbusting' groups that find the server and seek out the obscure disturbance. Could this have been one of the servers?

After what I had seen on the picture I had taken that day. I sought never to join that server ever again. Scary to hear that the server crahsed moments after I left. I now only play singleplayer, and always look behind myself. In case that faceless monster, that was watching me on that server, does the impossible and finds me again.
