Pretty awesome job. I like that you were able to convey the varying texture that is on the American Big G. The water, boat, and oddly angled building are a nice touch. So is adding the Oodako.
I also really dig the marker background. It's simple, but is effective by being complementary to the piece....rather than juxtaposing the characters.
