Yes, it's exactly what it looks like. Concept just popped into my head when I was thinking about redesigning Greymon, Augumon's champion form in the old Digimon series that I used to watch as a kid. First season was the best, in my opinion.I'm okay with how this came out, even if it is similar to [link] in execution. May have looked smoother if I had done it on Photoshop, plus it's obvious that the marker I used for the green background is on its last legs.

Greymon is copyright bandai. You might wanna fix that. I mean, it isn't like some bandai exec is going to come through here and go "You gave incorrect credits, I'm gonna sue you so hard!!!" but, just, you know... maybe they will.
That would be the coolest crossover... ever. Of course, you'd have to make Kong at least the Toho version in order to compete, but that's no big deal. Alternatively, you could downgrade the digimon, like use the woefully malnourished Greymon et co. in the first season of the cartoon. That Greymon was just pathetic.
Either way, it would be awesome, if a little one sided. But hey, Gorosaurus knocked out KG with a single kick, and King Kong still beat him, so who knows?

Thanks! I don't know about it being one-sided, though. As long as Kong managed to avoid getting scortched he could defeat Greymon like any other dinosaur on Skull Island, provided Greymon doesn't digivolve into Metalgreymon. Then he's screwed.

Kong is about 6 meters tall normally, while Greymon, evolved through natural processes, is the size of an apartment building.
That's not a very fair fight... like, at all.
BUT the Greymon from the first two seasons of the cartoon, the forced-digivolution type, are much closer to Kong's size. It would be pretty tough to deal with that nova blast, but it isn't hopeless for Kong. Kong beat three Vastatosaurs at once, I'm sure he could handle a smaller Greymon.
OR if it was the Toho Kong and a normal sized Greymon, then it be totally fair.
Once you get into X-antibody territory, all bets are off. And that xross wars guy looks pretty tough, too.

I guess it's 1st season Greymon, then. I only watched Digimon up through season 4, so when I think Greymon I think of Tai's. I just redesigned him a bit to make him look like an actual dinosaur.

Season 4, right? It kind of lost steam by then. There didn't even seem to be anything about computers or being digital, just some other dimension, I think. I kind of tuned in and out.

Thanks! I was just thinking about how cool that show was, and how Greymon was kind of kaiju-like. When he battled Parrotmon in "Digimon: The Movie" it seemed heavily Godzilla-inspired. Wish they'd make a Godzilla anime...

Personally, the 5th season is good, due to the more adult approach to the story. Also, the Agumon's champion level in that series, now called "GeoGreymon", looks alot like your version of Greymon in a way. Probably due to the more dinosaur oriented approach.
None the less, good drawing. I wonder how Kong would fare against a mask wearing dinosaur with a flamethrower? Hmm...

I think Greymon would win. King Kong's faced t. rexes before, but one which has ceratopsian horns is new, and since this is the RKO one instead of Toho's, he probably wouldn't do well against Greymon's Nova Blast.
