That mother better pray her daughter never hears of manga/anime.

XD Yeah... Even the "tame" stuff would drive her up the wall.

Yeah, I've seen people in very convincing Gundam costumes, those must be a nightmare to create and finance.
Looked pretty badass though...

I wonder who's in more trouble in the third panel: the daughter or the husband.

XD I dunno.

My sister actually inspired that one. We got a costume magazine in the mail with a section of costumes called, "Costumes by Playboy!" And she found it before my mom threw it out...

Your sister swings that way?

No. She wanted one of the costumes in the catalog. My mom nearly had a conniption fit!

Conniption fit... that's something I haven't heard in a while.

... I tend to use terms like that. And "ishkabible" and "davenport" and "Goodness Gracious".

I clearly spent way too much time with my grandmother when I was little.

Davenport?

It means "Couch" or "Sofa" apparently.

My theory is "Daven" is supposed to mean butt, and "port" is a place to put the "daven". So it's like a butt-place.

I'm just surprised because I know someone whose last name is Davenport.

Perhaps he's descended from couch makers?

Ah. The person you know has a very interesting last name.

That would be hilarious!

I'll need to tell him that when I get the chance. He graduated so he's trying to get into the working world. So far he's hating bureaucracy.

I imagine that bureaucracy is going to stink when we graduate too. Getting a job isn't one of the thing's I'm looking forward to when I get older. (Unless it's a good job, like being a professor or something.)
