*shrug* Could be a better reason. But, I guess she has been around him enough to reallize that he'd never wear something like that. Though, that ex-vampire girl probably would have reallized it as well if she just thought about it. As for Kat, she'd probably still have her sense of smell from her used to being a cat.(I still think it'll be hilarious when she discovers her powers, since cats are terrified of water. XD )
