My tip is try to create more original designs. I find that usually characters with more simple designs don't sell as well. Maybe try adding some markings like stripes on the back or legs. Or maybe add some dots on it's face. People tend to go for designs that are less simple. Just keep trying. Someone will buy from you eventually.
