Somehow she was the most "useless" character in BG II, she was a mage with little thieving abilities, Jan was better than her as both a mage and thief (and he could level up to have pretty good all-around thief skills), she wasn't a specialist mage, and so she really just hung around long enough for her quests to be done. Oh, and Imoen's pretty much the same, except even her thief abilities are better, plus she gets her spawn-of-Murder abilities... So Nalia was always the "fifth wheel".

Yeah, there are other characters who can do all the same things and do them better than her. Jan and Imoen have the skills, and if for story and roleplay purposes you want a loyal, eager to learn newbie then Aerie is better. Nalia is probably better staying in the castle and managing things from there; she could be making herself gathering information from other nobles etc and passing it on.

Another one well done. Nalia is looking a little haughty today. Must be expecting Isaea.

She does look older than my other female characters (Aerie, Imoen, even Jaheira), perhaps because of the make up and having a larger chin/jaw.
She is supposed to be in her twenties in game.

Well, she looks less "noble" than all the commoners in the group. I'm not suggesting that there are some genetic traits characteristic for nobility (other than the mutation caused with... breeding close to home [like in the case of Habsburgs]), but one would think she would have long hair without any beads and braids, some better clothing or something.

Of course while she is with the group she is going to be doing a lot of fighting, running around dungeons, swamps, sewers and other things that are going to ruin her clothes... so best not to bring any that are too expensive.
The games artist was obsessed with beads and braids for some reason... although that's not really practical for adventure. I can't imagine them in the Underdark all doing that with their hair every morning.

True. But the beads and things could be quite a distraction in the middle of battle if they fall out or you have to keep stopping to redo them...

I believe that if that all would be realistic no warrioress would be a fragile, long-haired and unscarred. I recently strated playing Fable, in which you can develop body build as a female and you become HUGE.

True; at the very least, characters with long hair should really tie it back when they're adventuring. Of course, we allow some of these things because its fantasy, but I think you need to make hairstyles as simple as possible.
And yeah, I've played Fable 2 for the 360 recently. You can become huge (although to be honest you can still easily complete the game without spending any points on physique or accuracy).

Accuracy makes you taller. Although if you have Knothole Island installed you can buy potions of height/shortness that can use to offset it, if you would rather your character remain the same height.

Especially her sleeves. I don't know how anyone could really move around in them, but... they look impressive, anyway.

I've always loved that type of sleeves. But you're probably right about the moving part.

It's pretty. But if I want to do some action scenes with Nalia I'll have to find her more practical adventuring attire that she can more easily run and jump and perform other actions in.
