Description Viconia from the PCRPG 'Baldur's Gate' and its sequel.

Viconia was a typical Drow Elf and a priestess of their quite probably insane Goddess, Lloth. But one day it went badly wrong, when she refused to sacrifice a child and was forced to flee.

She ended up on the surface and in the service of another at least as insane goddess, Shar. But since people on the surface fear the Drow so much she finds herself constantly hunted and on the run.

Well she's nearly nice, sometimes... then she has a moodswing and starts smacking you around the head. Still, she has lots of other skills that make up for it.

Well, thank you very much. I certainly hope I've done you justice... I dread to think what the consequences would be otherwise...

Thank you, I think I think Viccy and Aerie have possibly turned out best of the BG2 characters I've done so far.

Thank you My biggest worry with Vic was getting her skin right, but it seems to have turned out okay. Surprisingly it didn't take me too long to do Vic; it was one of those rare and wonderful things where everything seemed to go right first time. Her face did anyway; had a bit trouble of deciding how much muscle/tone to give her.

The dress she's wearing here, which is converted from another figure, could probably do with some smoothing.

Well I'd say it turned out wonderful - kudos to you, especially since I cannot do 3D renders to save my life - lol!

Poser isn't very hard, really. Most of the clothing, props, hair and even the poses I use I've purchased from other artists or some of it, like Viccy's hair, is even available to download for free. All I do is work on the faces and some of the textures; the rest is essentially just me, a grown man, playing with dolls...

Perhaps, but I've downloaded DAZ and a bunch of free stuff and still can't seem to even get started Dolls have gotten so much more complicated than they were when I was a little girl - lol!

Coutelier In reply to Valedhelven [2010-06-08 14:19:38 +0000 UTC]

Did you download DAZ Studio? I'm afraid I don't know much about that since I use Poser 7. I know not all stuff made for Poser works in Studio, at least not without fiddling with it.

Of course, there is more than just dressing up and posing the dolls... you've got to know about camera's and lighting... yeah, I'll give myself some credit; It's actually really, really hard

Valedhelven In reply to Coutelier [2010-06-08 14:32:19 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I an imagine it really IS hard! I really don't have the brain for anything quite that complicated, so I haven't fussed around with it too much That's why I leave the fancy 3D artwork to those of you who understand those things... I'll just concentrate on cutting and pasting photos together - lol!

It's okay... I've tried messing with Photo's before but couldn't get into it. I certaintly couldn't get results as good as yours
