Description Adam as King Dedede from Kirby

Costume made by :

My brother and I used to play Kirby all the time. So when some friends decided to have a Smash Bros. Brawl group, he picked Dedede, and I decided to make him the costume. I've never made a mascot type costume before, but I tried my best. And since I was working on other costumes too, I ended up only having a week or so to throw it together. He helped me out where he could though and made most of the hammer too. I think it turned out pretty good for the time we had to make it.

Thank you! I built the feet around a normal sized shoe. I cut the sole shapes out of plastic sheets, covered them in fabric, and glued them to the bottoms of the shoes. I made the rest of the shoes by basically just sewing over-sized shoe covers and stuffing them. I hand sewed the shoe covers to the soles so the stitches would be invisible. -Tranquility

You're welcome! If you google "How to make mascot suits" and "How to make mascot feet" you'll probably come up with some good ideas and videos. The ones I made are stuffed like pillows but it's probably better to use foam since they keep their shape and breathe better. Good luck! -Tranquility

We blew up one of those giant punchball balloons, covered it with a ton of paper mache layers, waited for it to dry, and popped the balloon inside. I sewed a fabric cover out of blue felt and then cut out eye holes. I built the facial features onto the head with air dry Model Magic clay and painted them. The eyes have black see through fabric and the mouth has a see thru mesh to breathe out of.
