April 24, 1983 - The last eastbound Rio Grand Zephyr approaches a packed passenger platform upon arriving at Glenwood Springs. The station agent warned those on the platform to step back several times - and continued to do so even as the train slowed to a stop. It's a wonder no one was hit.----

I think I would have chosen the bridge for my vantage point. I'm surprised there are not more shutterbugs up there!

Oh, there were plenty of shutterbugs on hand. A lot of the people in front of me, and the ones you can't see behind me, are Rocky Mountain RR Club members who, like me, would be boarding the train here for the ride to Denver.
There was a sloping hill next to the station's eastern side that was packed with people when we passed that location.
