Description
Finally, I made a picture of the full moon in a clear night
After missing a complete full moon during this cycle: I spontaneously looked out of the window just to see this
I had my telephoto lens on it's farthest setting (300mm) and couldn't zoom in more, but at least I got to a 3742 x 2469 final version
I know there are plenty of pictures of the moon, but I still wanted to shoot a moon photo myself, so yay, accomplished!

What? How in the whole world did you manage to make a clear moon photo?
I didn't make it sharp enough - with my own Canon camera - to capture the moon, myself! I was up almost like in the middle of the night , and I was freezing!
So...how did you do it??

Use 300mm telephoto lens, open window, have steady hands, zoom all the way in, hold your breath, shoot.

I didn't use a tripod. It all depends on how much light reaches the sensor. When it is a bright night, the shutter speed will be fast enough, so you won't need a tripod

Wow, very beautiful! I wish I could take pictures like this but I cannot set my camera's settings right. So every kind of Moon picrures I take fails. ;_;

Well, you can only get a clear picture when enough light reaches the sensor, so it must be a clear sky with no clouds
Open the aperture wide to about 5 (I had 5.6 in this shot) and make sure to have a high shutter speed so there is no blur (I had 1/250 sec). If there is enough light from the moon then you can set a low ISO for minimal noise, otherwise use a higher ISO and get rid of some noise through post-processing
