Description
This was mainly an exercise in practicing doing effects-type stuff, I wanted to play around with the idea of having a mage convert their body into energy as part of the teleportation process, so you'll have bits and pieces destabilized and transmuting into parts of the beam that'll zoom them off somewhere.

I'm not super happy with the mage but it'll suffice I guess. The energy trails coming off of the primary beam, moving into/around the foreground, are built from a single trail and then cloned, distorted and transformed, then varying degrees of motion blur applied, then faded so that it has some semblance of the effect but also some of the harder edges.

I'll probably work on this more, maybe even change the main figure completely, I like the feel of it I mean. It's all about fakin' the funk!
