Description
It was a regular morning at Misery Stables. The sun was slowly sharing it's light with the land and it's inhabitants. All of the animals started opening their eyes, the plants started to glow as the lands awoke. Nobody was aware of the events that would happen that day.
Skhizein Feste shook off his tired eyes as his brain began functioning as normal. He looked around his nice quiet stall something was different but everything looked the same. The sun beams were glowing off of the stone walls and making his straw bed glow like gold. Licking his lips Skitzo rose to his feet and stretched his neck far up into the ceiling. Again he shook off his achy muscles and lazily walked outside into his run for a drink of water. Licking his lips he examined his run, something was defiantly wrong but he couldn't figure it out. He looked at the big stone pillars that cornered his run, the other horses down the stall line that were coming out of their stalls to stretch. He walked over to the fence on the left and peeked into the stall. Trilo was still sleeping soundly. Again Skhizein shrugged the feeling off. Stomach growling, Skitzo returned to his stall and looked out into the courtyard. Victoria and her sister were coming with the truck down the line feeding the stallions. Skhizein waited patiently for his food until the truck was finally at his door. Swishing his tail as a sign of impatience, Skitzo nodded his head to Victoria as if telling her to hurry up. "I'm coming, i'm coming" Victoria giggled. She patted his neck quickly and threw his hay into his bucket.
After his breakfast Karly, Victoria's sister came to open the gate in his run so he can go out. Skhizein just stared at her. The feeling was back, it was stronger, he didn't want to go outside. Shaking his head he stepped back. "Okay big boy, you can stay in..." Karly told him unsure of why. But she shrugged it off and continued to let Trilo and the others outside. Unsure of what was going on Skitzo decided to just take a nap so he can rest his senses. Gently he lay down in a dark corner of his stall and shut his eyes. As Trilo walked by he sniffed inside his sires run, he nickered quietly but his dad did not come. Unsure of what was going on, Trilo decided to stay near Skitzo's stall... just in case.
Later that day Skhizein was awoken by a massive migraine. His eyes stung, his head was tense, every slight sound stabbed his ears like they were getting ripped off all over again. His pain quickly spread into his muscles, aching stabbing, crushing, grinding. It felt like his body was going to explode. Skitzo started hearing things, whispers, screaming. He felt cold, heavy, weighted down like the chains were back on him. His skin began to get itchy, he jumped to his feet and began rubbing intensely against the walls, he raised his feet and scratched his head with his sharp hooves. He bit at his scars, his legs, the walls. Skhizein could hear his mother screaming for him and his sister, his sister screaming for her as well. He began to scream for her. His nostrils flared, inhaling the smell of blood, he could smell his mother, her beauty falling down the drain like his own blood fell onto his golden straw bed. He stomped at the ground with all his might as if he was being attacked by ants, as he tried with all of his might to hold on to his sanity. In the corner of his eye he saw something in the corner, The Ringmaster. Skhizein spooked horribly and stumbled outside screaming. Trilo raised his head from the grass and within seconds he was at his fathers stall. Skhizein had fallen to his knees and was kicking at his head, screaming at invisible beings surrounding him, he violently banged his face into the ground to shut up the voices, the whispers, the gunshots, the clapping, which only made his migraine worse which made the noises and delusions stronger. Trilo stood shocked for moments, but he quickly jumped the fence into his fathers stall. He circled Skhizein not knowing what to do. The other stallions in the pasture were startled by the noises and began to get rowdy which quickly spread throughout the ranch. The news spread to the the mares across the pastures. The wind was suddenly different. Aphasia and Mab knew right away what it was. Both of them bolted across the hills and jumped the fences towards the stallion pasture. Trilo met his sisters at the gate and effortlessly let them in. Map and Aphasia made their way to Skitzo while Trilo ran out to find Victoria.
Aphasia was the first to her dad, she kicked down his gate and quickly examined Skitzo. He was on his stomach breathing heavily, shaking violently, freezing cold, his eyes were wide open staring at nothing. He had blood everywhere, all over his face, all over the dirt. Both of his daughters nickered and neighed softly at him, trying to get a response, but there was nothing. He had a terrified look in his eyes. Aphasia cautiously and gently lay beside him. Quietly she began to sing in his trembling ears. And he heard it.
Skitzo was somewhere completely different... a Bliss. With the voice of his daughter, his mind had wondered off from the horrible circus crowd... Back to a day, far away, with his three little foals, spending their days being horses in the heavenly meadows of the Backyard where nothing was impossible. The air smelled of wild honey and sweet grass, fresh air. Silver streams sparkled as they weaved throughout the land like a snake. The towering clouds painted the land with the rays of the sun. This land was the land of innocence, childhood games, hidden treasures, wondrous flowers, endless skies, mothers love. This land would quickly steal your heart and imprison you in its beauty. These meadows were the meadows you would find in heaven. And for the first time since he had been ripped away from her, he could feel his mother, her beauty all around him.
The best day of Skhizein's life. Not a thought had crossed his mind about his past, it was just him, his three little ones Trilo, Aphasia, Mab and the oceans of grass. No chains, no whips, no screaming or sharp red hot metal prods. It was simple, easy, the life he should of had. The sun was warm on his back, the cool breeze held him close, he felt great, like a horse should. His three little spawns frolicked around him happy as can be, and they deserved this. They looked up to him, they were part of him, he had a purpose that had nothing to do with being tortured for amusement. Before this day Skhizein didn't understand what it was to be loved or looked up to, he never had anyone, for years he was alone. His eyes would tear at the notion of one of his little babies in that place.
Skhizein had been at Misery Stables for a year now, but this day was the first day in his life he had ever played with his children, the first day he had ever felt like a horse, the first day he felt free.

Huzzah for story time!!!
I wanted to start a short story of Skitzo, and i wanted to practice doing my own backgrounds, so sorry these are used "horse poses" and not like new poses for these guys. In the pic i just did the grass but i don't think it looks to bad which is pretty cool. So hopefully i'll be able to do my own backgrounds ^^ I have started the story of Skitzo when he was a baby, and you'll get to see him all small and squishy but it might be a while till i get it up ... anywho so ya, let me know what you think
