Why are all the pics I have of Slade so dark?

Edit:

Took Koontahs suggestion and added a bit of a background. Nothin' special.

I must admit I really like your works. I add to favorites "Alone again"" and "Burn..." too, so I'm talking about them, of course. Because they're original. I spent twenty minutes on looking at those piece of art. They gave a life to my imagination, with those many unspoken words and contexts.

And, somehow this pic is about twisted relationship bewtween Raven and Slade (and Trigon. Well, we love it). In the "Burn..." you almost said that this is some Slaven. In the "Alone again" I thought that he's thinking about Raven. Ale you interested in this couple? What do you prefer, in TT 'world'?

Thank you, I'm very happy you like them. It's not often people say that my pictures have sparked their imagination.

And yes the idea was to show in this one how Trigon possessed Slade for that time during "the End". About the other two, I've been working long-term on a story that mainly deals with Raven and Slade. Both are little snapshots from it. However, I have never thought of them as a couple. Mostly because of the age difference and Raven just doesn't seem his type. I've read all the Deathstroke comics to get to know Slade more and found that the TT Slade is a lot more different than the Comic Slade.
In my story I've done a great deal to explain about some of what happen during "the End" and where Slade disappeared to afterward. The relationship between him and Raven remains platonic and more of a father and daughter relationship. That is of course after they get over the hostilities since in the cartoon they have been enemies.
In short, I really like Slades complex character and I really like to explore his relationship with Raven.
I hope I haven't bored you with my babbling

Wow, I'm absolutely amazed. Not often I can find someone who thinks about this just like me. I'm a big "fan" of Deathstroke comics and Slade from TT is one of my best character. And I always believed that they should be mixed up - comics' Slade and cartoon's Slade. He would be arrogant, authoritative, predominant, agressive, but still he would feel love or care. I think his 'new' character would be even better that originals. Hard moral philosophy and sadistic nature...

Not to mention that this subject is more interesting with Raven (during "The End"). Those dependences which are bonding Slade and daughter of Trigon - It is hard to understand but still so fascinating.

I know that this plea isn't nice, but... can you tell me do you publish somewhere this story you're writing? Your idea is very intriguing, about this platonic relationship.

Sorry for the long delay.
I agree it is hard to find other people who have even read the comics. However I have to disagree about mixing the two universes. I've always seen them as two completely different characters. The cartoon Slade does have a sadistic nature and loose morals. While the comic Slade is more of a man who keeps trying to do the right thing and having it explode in his face. They probably would hate each other if they ever met.
My theory about the episodes where Slade is 'brought back to life by Trigon' is that it was not the same Slade from the previous episodes. My reasoning is that he has such a different attitude towards all of the titans that it's as if he had never fought with them before. So what if Trigon brought back a different Slade? One from a different universe like the comic. Major spoilers for my story, but I thought I'd share it with you.

And I'm sad to say that I have not published my story anywhere yet. I haven't even finished the first chapter and most of it is still in development. However, should I post any of it online, I will send you a notice if you would like.
You have encouraged me to start writing for the TT universe again.

This is luciously creepy, Clewt. If I might make a minor suggestion: I think he needs a background. It doesn't have to be anything sophistocated: maybe an allyway or a building wall, worn with age and graffitti so that it completes the mood of the character. ^-^
