Description “He turned and saw, pacing beside him, taller than the horse, a Lion. The horse did not seem to be afraid of it or else could not see it. It was from the Lion the light came. No one ever saw anything more terrible or beautiful.”
C.S. Lewis
The Horse and His Boy

Here’s the rest of the picture. I already submitted the half with Aslan’s profile assuming that I would never finish the rest. It seems I just couldn’t resist. This was inspired by C.S. Lewis’s The Horse and His Boy, after Shasta gets left behind by King Lune in chapter 11.
I believe Shasta is supposed to be older than the boy that appears in my picture but he looked so cute I couldn’t erase him. Shasta is only starting to realize that he is talking to the great Lion. This is my favorite book from the Narnia series.

Aaah, A Horse and His Boy, my very first Narnia book. Good times. His unsure expression is very well done.

I love Aslan's solemn look - it's a great representation! His eye is especially great. You do darker compositions really well.

I've read the book. A marvelous take on Aslan. I can't believe the kid accepted his kingliness so readily. Ah, well. It probably beat the life he had before.

Thank you! You are right, being king is probably more than Shasta was hoping for when he fled slavery.

Well done, and he does look a bit young, but ehh, I haven't read it. Is there a reason the file is small?

Thank you. I wanted it to be bigger, but I don't know how.
