Thankyou very much for returning to DA, its been so sad without your artworks.
And thanks for uploading the video, really helped me get an insight into how to use charcoal :]

Youre very welcome. I am curious what she's pondering about. She looks in deep thought.

An angle like this can be deceptively difficult to pull off, and you've captured it well. Great job!

Well done. Someday I'll try to make a charcoal sketch.

That will be awesome and I'm looking forward to seeing it. The best way to try anything is by doing it. So, I'll go and get my hands on some charcoal... or should I say "get some charcoal on my hands"?

Light shades aren't that difficult, really. Scribble with some charcoal on a scrap piece of paper and then rub your finger in it. Use your finger to apply the charcoal dust to your drawing and voila! Lighter shades.
