This is a great painting. It looks like it belongs on the cover of a post apocalyptic sci-fi/fantasy novel from the 1970s.

Thanx man ! Hi Zilch, thought you had looooooooong gone ha ha ! Real good to hear from ya, and yer still wasting yer time here I only get on here very rarely now, but I'm glad I caught yer post! Well the poem at long last got out from under the bed, dusted off and put into a book form with over 20 illustrations too. Not sold too many yet, has to get promo some how. Still, it was never about money or sales to me, just getting info out there. About the rating, sorry about my one and only rating, done by my a dear friend actually. Of course he gave it a five star, just because he's a friend but you know, I doubt he even read it, just bought it and its probably gather electro-dust on his pc. It is really embarrassing really, coz he wrote something like, "best book I have ever read" ha ha. Truth is, it's probably the best book he'd NEVER read! Still bless him for his loyalty. So I'd be glad to get a true rating.
There's a particular section I know you'll love, it goes something like this:
He opened a hidden chamber
accessed by a secret door,
where danced imperious people
on a shiny chequered floor.
Chris Mass and Hal Oween
danced with Sue Perstishun,
whilst Lee Galeeze and Tobias Courts
twirled Steely Banx and Polly Titian.
Ollie Gark and Sybil Serpent
saw Barry Stirr's potential,
when Ernest Laws taxed Haven Shores
who used to be Pru Dential.
Vic Carr met Rocky Starr
Denny Grating and Del Ishuss
whilst Sue Preem was Frank Lee Keen
but thought to be Sid Dicious!
Ty Rantz and Lee Derr
had drinks with Percy Q Shun,
Milly Terry Annie Kissed
and caused a revolution.
Sian Tist loved Eddie Kashon
so too did Phil O Sophie.
Manny Facture with Robin Mason
court Traffy King and Polly See.
Ha ha, you'll have to buy it to read the rest!

I only really got onto dA to talk to some of the people I knew. It sort of went quiet all round though. EchoplexSermon deactivated his account, you went sort of AWOL, rockthemandolin (now octopusmandolin or something like that) rarely responded any more, and I had a bit of a disagreement with a guy called Tristan on here, and he deactivated his account as well. I was logging in from time to time, but it didn't seem to have the same community feel for me that it once had. But yeah, I've been around, but not like I used to be.
I do really like that excerpt. I love the play on words with the names, it's very clever. I'm sure the whole poem would be well worth reading. From memory, you are a fan of William Blake? It's very much in the same vein, but obviously with more humour. I'm not sure that Blake was much of a humorist, but his work had the same mystical epic poetry feel that your stuff has.
It's great to see that you've finished the work, and got it published and out there. That's a big step in itself, and congratulations on finishing it. It must have taken a lot of work to get it to that stage, and I'm looking forward to reading it.
From what I know about the Kindle market, it's unfortunate but I believe that poetry has never done all that well. I think that if you turned some of the material into a novel, a novella, or a bunch of short stories in an anthology, and fit it into one of the popular genres, like sci-fi, or epic fantasy, it might sell a whole lot better. I think to sell books on Kindle there's sort of a happy medium between what you really want to write, and what sells. I know it's not about the money, but I'd like to see the information and knowledge that you have meet the biggest audience possible, and that would be usually what sells the most and pushes your book up through the rankings. Otherwise it may never reach the audience that it deserves. Just my two cents worth. I might be totally wrong though, and it might end up selling very well with a bit of a marketing push. I really hope it does.

The 'new' is just the 'old' regurgitated........spewn from the mouth of archaic wizards and priests of Baal. And we know where their power eminates from, do we not?
