Ha ha, yeah. Reminds me of a story I was writing. It started something like this;
He thought he had everything neatly arranged and in perfect order in his life until all of a sudden, someone grabbed him around his waist and lept from the top of the Empire state building. He shouted,"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO......" all the way down. But it didn't help!

Now an' then mate!
Not very productive these days.
Lost my night job recently, so even the night doodles have dried up!
Still, nice to hear from ya and hope all is well with you me ol' m8.

That sounds like a little bit of a contradiction, that you lost your night job so you don't do any more night doodles. One can only assume that you were using at least some of your time at work for extraneous activities. I hope that's not why you lost the job.
Yeah, not too bad Chyme. I've gone back to uni to do an Information Technology degree, ya know, computers and all that. It's going quite well, but I have to learn to manage my time a bit better. I haven't put pen or pencil to paper for the purpose of pure creativity for many months.

Na, didn't get sacked......the opposite really. Took a redundancy deal. :money:
No, not subversively extraneous, it was the nature of the job (bored shitless) which 'allowed' for the predilection for doodling.
So, IT eh? Yet another string to your bow (never did know if that was a bow for violin or a weapon!)
Still......should help ya fiddle better or shoot down your enemies!

Sounds like the end of an era, then. So you were there for a long time? A lot of people look for jobs where they don't have to do much. I don't agree with it, the less you do, the more the boredom factor kicks in, and the more painful the job is.
Yeah, I enjoy programming and seem to have a knack for troubleshooting computers, so I thought, what the heck, I might as well try for a qualification doing those sorts of things. So, it's more of a bow for a violin, since I see programming as a bit of an art and a hard won skill. Keeps the mind active and builds critical thinking skills, too.

Indeed, the end of another epoch!
More ways than one really.
I have just sold my bungalow and don't know where I'm going.
I am seriously considering buying a 30' motor cruiser and living aboard! It seems nice idea at the moment, coz summer here (although showery) is clement, but winters are not. So in a quandary.
I think it a very wise thing you do in mastering IT! You will find yourself in great demand......by the way...er, I have this black screen problem and it wont reboot, even in pre-mode can you.....blah blah blah de blah..

So the bungalow was your permanent home? Does that mean you're kinda homeless? Big changes afoot, then. That mobile home idea sounds like a plan, but wouldn't it get tiresome after a while?
I have misgivings about the whole technology thing, even though I'm quite good with machines. I figure it's kind of an unavoidable aspect of today's society, and if you can't beat 'em...well you know.

Well, still around, just about. Not being particularly creative or productive but always the mind absorbs and cogitates and eventually explodes in a crescendo of creative ectoplasmic materialization. sycho:
So watch this space!
Thanx fer askin'. Hope all is well with you and yours too!
