Hey wow, that is awesome!! Thanks for letting me know, it's kinda nuts that like 50 people in all different countries around the world have gotten this tattoo, I guess in some small way I'm famous haha!

The artist who did the outline five years ago though, messed it up a little, because he tattooed it exactly how it is drawn, which is bad because some line-flow needed to be refined as a finished piece for a tattoo. But what ever, gotta work with what is given. I will post a picture for you once we are all done with it.

Can you create this in color and add a gorgeous lotus flower with a pond background that dissipates all around? JW because I've been looking for a koi with lotus tattoo but haven't seen any I've loved more than your koi here. And if there were a lotus with water it would just be AMAZING!!!

thanks so much sure i'll def send you a pic. i might alter it a bit and make it darker in some areas but still keeping it black and white and will give you full credit will let you know if and when ive had it done

I am actually getting this on my love handle/side done tomorrow for my dad. He passed away on Saturday due to a heart attack. I am currently seventeen and taking it pretty hard. We used to fish a lot, so finding a beautifully drawn fish like this made me so excited. I added, " I love you daddy in cursive coming off of the tail and swirling up against the body of the fish on the right side. I will post a picture up soon for you. (: -Carlie

That has to be one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. I take it as an honor. Thank you so much. It is so wonderful that I could be a part of that sentiment. I am very sorry for your loss, my grandmother recently died of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and she was one of the most inspiring people in my life. My only advice is that you have to use this emotion as a bridge, let it lead you to a really creative place that would make your father proud of you. Let it be a guiding light.

I look forward to seeing the tattoo, goodluck with everything and understand that there is life after life, everything in the universe is a cycle. We all start again. Look for little things in nature, in pets, in people that remind you one way or another of the wonderful memories you have of your father. God bless you.

Could I use this tattoo design? I don't have any hugely special reason except that Koi are extremely beautiful and I'm IN LOVE with this design? (Was gonna put some color to it like turquoise and purple and green.) I know it's not super realistic but I think It's PRETTY!!! When I get it I'll post pictures and post a link back and everything.
