I was going to use PVC sheets for my cosplay this year, but it looks like the "worbla" you mention will be easier to work with, so thanks for mentioning it! I'm also pretty sure I saw you (and complimented your cosplay) at everfree last year.

I've noticed that there are great functions for worbla, but it doesn't work for everything. Definently give it a try! But I might try to play around with PVC sheets as well if I were you =]
And awesome! I'll be at Everfree again, but I have a new costume planned =]

Well, so far it seems to be working for my needs, though finding that balance between making it malleable and burning myself is a bit tricky at first.

I love your wings! Hey, I am planning on doing a Nightmare Moon/Princess Luna cosplay. Any suggestions on how to make the wings? :Ia

These wings were my first run off, they have ribbon straps and that turned out to not work with a strapless dress unless you enjoy welts in your skin. On my new set of wings I did them strapless with a 9 gauge wire structure. The wire inbetween the wings is a "U" shape so it slips into the back of your dress/shirt/corset/whatever. Depending on the weight of the wings you may only be able to use this method with a corset or something similar. If they're lightweight then it should be fine in the back of a dress. But you also have to plan to have a lowered back line so the wings sit correctly. If your costume does have a high back and sleeves then the strap method would work just fine as well. It does come down to how you planned your outfit. I like the strapless wings myself because of how they move from your back and not your arms. Since if they're attached by a strap around the arms, they move with your arms instead, and that can be unnatural looking (even though wings on people aren't natural to begin with! Ha!)
And for the record, I really need to make some tutorials. I think I've typed this out 4 times now haha!
Let me know if you have further questions!

Oh thanks! I was planning on trying to make BIG wings, so I might have to think of some other way to attach them. Though, Luna does have that breast plate thing going on, so I might attach them to that. Or something? Not entirely sure, it's just yours look so good! I was wondering what material you made them out of? Because they look, foamy?

These ones are felt. My new ones in other pictures in my gallery are craft foam. If you want to go larger then my craft foam ones I would suggest craft foam. Those only have a single layer structure of 9 gauge wire. 9 gauge should be able to hold up most craft wings. Although I'm not sure if you want to go larger then my new pair of wings, they are pretty huge, and were a bit difficult to get around in.

Well, I am doing this for a competition, so the ability to move around on a con floor is not that important to me. Though I might make a pair that is smaller, so that I could do that. Thank you so much for your help, I love your Celestia, perhaps you will like my Luna when she is finished. u u

I love how you styled the wig, so pretty. I hope to do a military version of Celestia in the future.

That will look really cool! Modern military or medieval military style?
