Description So here's another illustration I finished over my break from dA last month.

She's a currently nameless character who lives in a desert country named Suza.  Suza is a small county with a population smaller than the population of cities in its neighboring countries; however, this seemingly insignificant country not only rests along the main trade route of the region, but it's also a nation of magicians (or mages, whichever you prefer), valued throughout their region and beyond for their enchanted products.

Furthermore, the royal family are famous for their utilizing of small birds, Bell Sparrows (the white bird pictured above), throughout daily life, mostly for transmitting messages quickly over great distances.  These Bell Sparrows are so named because they love the sound of bells, and it is with bells than these highly intelligent birds are tamed to obey humans.  Some even say the bells themselves might be enchanted, though these are merely rumors, and no confirmation concerning the hypothesis has yet been found.

The character pictured above is the fifth child and second princess of Suza.  Since she did not qualify for military service, she instead decided to help her father, the king, by becoming a diplomat and, after demonstrating her earned aptitude in areas such as diplomacy, economics, and foreign studies, she has risen to a place of prominence among her father's aids, becoming one of the heads of foreign policy and chief ambassador for the country.

I currently don't have much a story planned out for her.  Nor do I have much of her character built.  She's really just a character that I designed sometime in late February to early March after designing a future character for Hitsuzen.  I loved the Hitsuzen character's outfit, so I decided to make a country where outfits like his are the norm and even have social significance.  For instance, the head band a person wears tells other people of his or her social-political role.  The head band the princess is wearing is for an ambassador or someone involved in foreign affairs, while the one worn by the woman at the end of the hall is for a scribe, just to name a couple.  Anyway, as of now, those are the major points I've got... well, actually not quite.  I've left out some, but most of those would be kind of spoiler-ish, so, yeah.  I'm not sure when/if I'll ever develop more of this or even if the princess would be the main character of the story.  It's all pretty fuzzy right now... kind of like my background skills.  I more-or-less gave up on the background in the end, but I like pretty much everything else.
