# About me
Hello. Here online, I generally go by my pen name, Chiyo Hoshi (or just Chiyo). I reside in the United States, am of *confidential* years, and enjoy studying the Japanese language and culture, reading/drawing manga, listening to music, reading and writing literature, and playing the occasional video game. I have been drawing manga since about 2003/2004. Of all artists, the Japanese manga group CLAMP has had the strongest influence on my art while my writing and storytelling style has been most influence by CLAMP, Hayao Miyazaki, Brian Jacques, and Nomura Mizuki. My webcomic(s):

Hi! Sorry it took so long to respond. I've had a pretty busy May/early June, so I haven't been able to get on dA very often. How are you doing?

I've been pretty busy, but I'm fine. Currently I'm working on doing readings for my fall semester of college, since I have a long list of assingments and don't want to get swamped in homework.

Usually. I've never left my homework unfinished, but it's sometimes pretty stressful.

In what profession you learn there?

I'm studying professional writing, so we have a lot of reading and writing that we need to do. We also give feedback on other people's works, so sometimes you have a 10-page short story you need to read and comment on before the next class while also getting your reading done. It's fun, but putting it all together, it's a lot of work.

And how much will you learn?

chiyo-hoshi In reply to Revan005 [2016-06-22 21:03:23 +0000 UTC]
I 've learned a lot so far, especially about giving actually helpful feedback. One of my options for a job after college is as a fiction editor, so interacting with more stories and learning how to help the writer and also what I want in a reader response and editing has been a lot of help. I've also learned a lot about poetry, which is an area where my previous schooling didn't give me an adequate education. And I've become more convinced than before that poetry and learning how language interacts in both poetry and prose is important for knowing how to write well and how to help others become better writers.

I hope to be a novelist and an editor for fiction works, like short stories and novels, so just about everything I've been doing, from writing to feedback groups, has been pretty much what I want to do as a job. It's been pretty great.

I see. I don't usually watch them, either, but I love the atmosphere, skill, and variety of the olympics, so I make sure to watch at least my favorite events like swimming, gymnastics, diving, and archery.

Not really. I'm able to adjust pretty quickly to new locations, so it doesn't cause me much of an issue to change location.

^^
Currently I am posting it on a couple different sites, but I do wish I could sell it. If I ever did put together a "book" version, I'd probably self-publish an ebook or something like that.

I'm not entirely sure how many chapter there will be, especially since I'm rewriting some of the events and trying to figure out how to streamline the second half of the plot. I know it'll be more than 30, though, so I really need to step up my production speed. =_='

I'm still trying to decide what to do then. I have some side stories I want to put together, and I've got some other stories I want to draw comics for, but it will really depend on how things are when the time comes.

This anime for kids with subtext about the environment (small irony in the fact that even though it's an anime for family viewing, where the dinosaurs allowed the blood of each other (in the Japanese version)).
