"In careful lines, almost art nouveau style, she had managed to capture the Goblin King's likeness when he was at his most seductive and villainous. Looking up through heavy lashes he was wearing a full-sized cloak made from carefully outlined peacock feathers, flowing lightly around his lithe frame, contrasting with the dark blue draperies and sandstone columns of a ballroom that had never existed. He made a slight bow towards the viewer as if inclining to ask for a dance. His eyes offered a challenge and a promise, not of happily ever after but quite possibly of a lot of interesting physical experiences in the meantime."Excerpt from a currently not yet published chapter of my story, "Lilac Fantasies", available on fanfiction.net.
This is a work of fan art. I obviously don't own Jareth, and if I owned the peacock I'd serve it coq au vin.

Yes. I can see how is works. Jareth is quite vain when I think about it, and the peacock is often used as a symbol of vanity.

He totally is. And the peacock is a very regal bird, if not very bright. -nodnod- This doodle had to be turned into more than a doodle, and once it was, it had to be part of the story for sure. After all -- peacock! Vain! Jareth!

I'm soooo sorry. My computer problems have been somewhere in the vicinity of the 9th level of Dante's Hell. (read my livejournal for all the horrific details. [link] )
I'm hoping to have this fixed soon, (it's only been 5 months now going back and forth with Dell's horrible customer service.) I haven't drawn or written anything in months afraid of the BSOD every 15 minutes. 
I have the rest of the story in my head, I just need a reliable computer to write it out now.

Oh yes, that does sound like the customer service we've all come to love and expect from Dell. How do you stand it? We even have a spare little tiny laptop in case either of our regular ones die! ... Yes, we're that sad.

My spare laptop is with the hubby, he didn't have one and it's the only thing he can get our wireless in our house on in his office. His office was built right above our concrete storm cellar so the wireless signal in there is CRAP, I can't get an antenna adapter to work with his desktop, but he can get 2 bars with my old laptop. Sorry, when dealing with His Nibs, everything is dished up with extra glitter with a side of sparklies, for good measure.

Does love really have anything to do with anything ? i use it to say when i more then like something altho i dont think i would be heart broken if i never drank tea ever again ! coffee on the other hand ... lets just say i wouldnt care the slightest if that was lost from the world completely
