I have seen my fair share of starters but these I think are my favorites. Not to dis anyone elses, but they just look better. I think its mainly because I can see their faces. All the others have little dots for eyes/mouth, and lack of an expression. All three are skillfully crafted, and totally freakin adorable . Wonderful work. You also got the proportions just right.

Thanks so much! That's exactly what I wanted, I adored how cute the bead eyes or faceless ones were, but I wanted to really portray what they actually look like. I hadn't seen handmade yarn dolls look like them though I've seen plush dolls. I'm glad someone thinks I hit that! ^^

It's still amazing though I'm only starting to crochet amigurumi and I'm finding it hard to read patterns :s

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

ChibiSayuriEtsy In reply to Pikacheekz [2012-06-18 09:04:46 +0000 UTC]

I learned I was doing it completely wrong for over three months when I first started, and it took me about five more months to really start to understand the patterns. It doesn't help that sometimes people who write patterns use different keys either! Lol.

They're so small it's hard to cuddle them, but they can be squeezed real hard.

I taught myself and practiced almost every day, I was definitely unskilled to begin with. I did it wrong for three months in the beginning, lol.

Though I don't have much of an eye for this type of work, they look excellently made.

is that bulbasaur is the symbol of original (red and blue game)
Are shirts?
are beautiful

cross-stitching or petitpua for triagulos?
you weave in light green and then sew the triangles

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 0

fmoscuro [2012-05-28 01:57:03 +0000 UTC]

Very good but lacks the triangles in the front

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

ChibiSayuriEtsy In reply to fmoscuro [2012-05-28 04:05:24 +0000 UTC]

The dark green in the head are the 'triangles', I didn't want to sow or glue tiny triangles to his head because they would rip off. I made them specifically to travel so I worked in the dark green in the head and legs as yarn.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

ChibiSayuriEtsy In reply to ChibiSayuriEtsy [2012-05-28 04:09:04 +0000 UTC]

I did actually try and work in 'triangles' in the pattern but because the color change is really hard and they looked more like defects, I just did blotches instead.
