I sure hope so. Guntz acting like this on a regular basis would be a bit alarming. That bottle of alcohol in his hand might be a hint. XD

Heh, thanks. X3
Wow, I'd love to see you write a one-shot that had to do with something like this. XD
Less detail?! Jeez, it took me nearly as long to make that background as it did for me to finish Guntz himself. I did get really lazy at some parts, and right now I can think of ways I could've made it better... Putting less detail in the background would've made the whole picture a hell'a lot quicker. >.<

XD I just meant that the bg's fine and didn't need all that much is all.
Haha, I think a story line like this would be fun to write l3 I'll probably work on it soon...

Is he drunk enough that I can give him 10 dollars and tell him its 500?

Chibikawa In reply to chibichao [2008-07-20 00:53:52 +0000 UTC]
Perhaps. But I think Guntz knows money enough to tell whether something is 10 dollars or 500 no matter how intoxicated he is. X3

Hey, it's better than going out and killing people for once. Although he might try that later(with little success, I might add). But he'll think his shooting is better as a drunk driver would think their driving is better. X3

Nice job! I love how you can't even see the lineart, and the background is not that bad :3 Oh, and of course, drunk and topless Guntz is AWESOME.
*Pays Guntz $500* Now, dance with that top hat on the ground and THEN take your pants off 8D

You can't see the lineart because there is none. X3
Thanks. Glad you like it. Sorry for the inexcusably long wait. I ish guilty of laziness. >.<
Do it, do it! 8P

Srsly? o_O
I should try making a picture with no lineart one time, just to see how well I can do it.
And, I tend to be lazy too 8D

Chibikawa In reply to Cool-cat [2008-07-15 02:24:34 +0000 UTC]
Heh. I hadn't originally intended to make it line-less. The trick is to make the lineart, shade it carefully, then get rid of the lineart. The shading makes up for it if you do it right. It's not hard once you get the hand of it. :3
Yay for being lazy! 8D

Chibikawa In reply to Cool-cat [2008-07-15 02:40:31 +0000 UTC]
It's actually time-consuming and annoying because you spend so much time making the lineart only to get rid of it in the end. >:c
But I was only experimenting with the lineart with this and I didn't get the results I wanted. So it's fine. :3

Cool-cat In reply to Chibikawa [2008-07-15 02:57:43 +0000 UTC]
True. It's time consuming enough for me to do lineart in the first place. Plus, I like me some thick lineart 8D
This still looks nice to me though :3
π: 0 β©: 1
Chibikawa In reply to Cool-cat [2008-07-15 12:18:16 +0000 UTC]
Thick lineart comes out too fuzzy for me. I'm thinking about doing all of my lineart on Illustrator from now on, especially for that comic I wanna get working on. I don't know how you manage to keep it so clean and sharp. >.<
Thanks. :3

Cool-cat In reply to Chibikawa [2008-07-15 22:04:17 +0000 UTC]
I once used Illustrator, but the thing is, I hate doing lineart in it because it makes everything look too boxy. Now I use OpenCanvas 4.5 Plus to do my lineart (and to color), which is why my lineart's so smooth and sharp.
But, if it'll make things easier, you can use Illustrator. However, don't be TOO lazy on your lineart in it. Make sure you check all of it to make sure there are no lines poking out or gaps between lines. Gaps will cause the Magic Wand tool in Photoshop to select both an area AND the background of the picture. You probably know this already, but just incase ;D

Chibikawa In reply to Cool-cat [2008-07-16 01:32:34 +0000 UTC]
I'm not sure what you mean by "boxy," but it works wonders for me. OpenCanvas is pretty good, too. I should try that out, as well. At the moment I'm trying to figure out what style of lineart to use for my comic. I plan on using simple cel-shading as the shading style for it. I want it to look like an anime as much as possible, but I have yet to find a style of lineart that makes it work. >.<
I'm definitely not lazy with the lineart. That's the thing I work hardest on. I rely on the magic wand tool too much to be lazy with it. I utterly despise erasing colors that bleed out of the lineart. xc

Cool-cat In reply to Chibikawa [2008-07-16 02:18:26 +0000 UTC]
Eh, it's just not the progrem for me X3
OpenCanvas not only is great for lineart, but version 4.5 Plus has all the cool brushes and it even has the same tools as Photoshop does. Not many people have that version though. I also have version 1.1, which I keep so I can draw with my brother online (or maybe other people who have that version? <_<
In my opinion, a comic that's not in color is easier to make than one that's in color. To color each and every page would take too much time. Well, for me, at least X3
I can't be lazy with the lineart, no matter how much I want to get it done. If I just scribbled all over and said "there, inked, now on to coloring", the picture wouldn't look very professional, would it? 8D
π: 0 β©: 1
Chibikawa In reply to Cool-cat [2008-07-16 02:56:36 +0000 UTC]
Ah. I don't have that version. But I'll still have to test out the one I have.
True, but color gives it more life. I planned on everything being in color, whether it took forever to do or not. I don't have the tones needed to make it like a manga, and plan shades of black is too boring for me. I thought about it, but in the end I want it to stand out in a colorful fury! >:3

Cool-cat In reply to Chibikawa [2008-07-16 04:50:42 +0000 UTC]
I do love colorful comics 8D So pretty~
Maybe I'll try to make a comic page in color, just to see how much time it takes and how well it turns out. If I like it, I'll do it. If not, I'm sticking to black and white.
π: 0 β©: 1
Chibikawa In reply to Cool-cat [2008-07-16 13:13:30 +0000 UTC]
Yeah. I think I'll only be able to put up with full-color pages if I'm really motivated for it. If not, I might switch to a manga-style or something easier that still looks good. I'm motivated easily and also discouraged easily. >.<
π: 0 β©: 1
Cool-cat In reply to Chibikawa [2008-07-17 00:45:10 +0000 UTC]
I get discouraged easily too. It doesn't matter where I try draw (OpenCanvas, Cat in a SHOEBOX, paper) and I just can't get what I want down. So, I end up pushing it aside, and coming back to it later to try again.
That's one thing an artist should never do, give up. Keep trying and trying until you can draw something. If you give up, how are you going to improve?
I was planning on making my graphic novel in a manga style (no, not where it's read right to left, just the way it's colored). I once made a comic page some time ago for an old story idea I had with Matt, and it was black and white. Very simplistic background and I kind of drew his character retarded in it X3

Chibikawa In reply to Cool-cat [2008-07-17 01:26:45 +0000 UTC]
True. Sometimes I'm just in that mood where I just can't draw anything good. But then I get inspired again and all is good. :3
Were you using a real manga style? Like with tones and stuff? That's what I want to do, but I have very limited tones I downloaded for Photoshop that barely work anyway. The only way to make a real manga is with Manga Studio, meh-thinks. :/

Cool-cat In reply to Chibikawa [2008-07-17 04:11:35 +0000 UTC]
Nah, not really. All I did is use different shades of white, gray, and black for different colors. I'll probably post it in my scraps, if you want to see what it looks like. Be warned though, it's old, and crappy X3
