Icarus on wings of wax,Flew higher and higher,
Not heeding his father's warnings.
Ed is pretty, ne?
MISTAKES: Plenty. Most noticable though are his fleah hand is too big and his mouth is stupid.
But I'm very, VERY happy with the way his 'wings' turned out.
EDIT: Oops. Forgot his scars.

In my opinion, Fullmetal Alchemist and the tale of Icarus are very closely related. You did a good job at figuring that out, and doing a wonderful drawing of it.

At some point in the manga, I think I saw Roy's mouth drawn like that...
Ne, the torso looks kinda off. I tink it may be a bit long...
I'm not sure why, but the hand almost reminds me of the rabbits...

lol. The torso is far too long for Edward. He has a really really short torso and it's also pretty damn muscly. That's actually one of the main gripes I have with this picture. I should really go back and fix it up one day.

Coool.. I love how you coloured in his automail arm and the wings (Wish I can do them *grumble grumble*) I think he said "There once was a hero who flew too close to the sun. His wax wings fell apart and he plummeted to Earth" I unno since that was from a scanlation I read online. Eh, good job on the piccy!

Hmmm. I never thought to compare Ed and Icarus, but it makes perfect sense, doesn't it! I actually really like this picture. ^__^ Expecially the way you color, it's very interesting!

I watched the first couple of episodes of the anime again a few days ago, and Edward compares himself to Icarus in the first one. This pic just sprang to mind.

...MIGHT have been the manga. In the Manga he doesn't mention Icarus's name, but does state the legend. In the anime, he says "If you fly too close to the sun you're bound to get burnt." I dunno, maybe it's not in the english dub. I've only seen one episode of that and it wasn't the first one.
