Where was this posted? It had to have been posted somewhere recently because it is getting an influx of comments that are picking it apart lately. I'm just curious.
As for your post, I addressed that in an early comment and thought I had added it to the description, but I see I didn't. (Here it is: [link] )
Yes, we are equal, but neither sex is treated as equal in all aspects of the law or culture or life. Women still aren't paid as well as men in many professions, and women still control divorce court. Because of those and many other situations like thaem, feminists are still needed, even if that's not what they're called. I realize the word has a bad connotation to it, but that's the whole point of the comic.

this can also be applied to SO many other things. for example, some African Americans feeling like they deserve special treatment from European Americans because of the abombination of slavery. almost every AA person in my school acts like this and it is really annoying. racism is terrible and is not justifiable for any side, regardless on whether or not it was "your" side that was wronged. by having "sides" you show just how racist you are yourself because we all belong to the human race.

There was a time that Feminism was needed, but radical feminism has taken the same route that radical African-Americans or Radical Hispanics (ahem, M.E.Ch.A. anyone?) have taken. Fortunately the pendulum is starting to swing back towards the middle, whereas man-stomping feminism really took America by the nuts in the 1990s, even going as far as to objectify men. Extremes in any category are never a good thing.
As for voting, women haven't had that problem of not being allowed to vote in nearly a century. Some states, such as Wyoming (1868) and California (1911) allowed women to vote before the 19th Amendment made it happen in 1920. If any women aren't voting now, it's probably for the same reason that men aren't voting: None of the candidates are worth the powder to blow to Hell.

Has this been featured somewhere? It's getting a lot of attention suddenly.
You're 100% correct in all that you say. Radicals tend to ruin everything, from important movements to television shows. The word has been marred and the image has been tarnished by man-haters.

"Feminists: want men and women to have the exact same rights and treatment by society."
If that definition were true there would be no need for feminists anymore. Women have ever right that men do. Except that they wanted more rights and now we've gone from having equality of oppurtunity to equality of outcome (which isn't equality at all.)

Just because we supposedly no longer need them doesn't change the definition of feminism.

Sure it does. Because they no longer have a reason to exist, feminists have had to invent new pretend crimes that men have committed. Unforunately that make your top box a pretty accurate depiction of contemporary feminism.

That's the term getting hijacked. I'm not referring to modern or contemporary feminisim. That's what the first panel describes. It's been warped into something not worthy of even being called feminism, which is what my comic is pointing out. Classic feminism, on the other hand, is the distinction the comic is making between the two. Feminazis are not feminists no matter what they call themselves any more than the Westboro Baptists are Christians just because they claim to be.

And the word Faggot use to mean a pile of dried sticks tied up with twine, used for starting cooking fires in the wilds. Words change & these days feminism & feminist mean crazy screaming misandrist out for revenge on all men.
Also the Westboro Baptists are Christians, not because they say so, but because they follow the christian mythology.

where in the Bible does it say, "go around and protest everything, and tell the world that God hates them"? sorry, but as a Christian, I am very offended that people would associate those people with my belief.

Thats okay, i'm offended by all religion. The only difference between the WBC & the majority of christians from what i can see is the WBCers are just more honest about the things they are bigoted about.

Just for the sake of historical accuracy, do you know who else was not allowed to vote in the time period you are refering to? Actually it might be easier to tell you who was allowed to vote: White Men, who were the head of a house hold, who owned land. So not only were women not allowed to vote, neither were men who owned no property (who made up the majority). The problem is, feminism constanly makes it sound like it was them specifically who were being oppressed, when in truth if you weren't white, male & old you were not top dog.

Actually no. The top box is what feminists really are. The bottom is what they pretend to be.
By your definition, feminists have no real movement. Decent women who want reasonable are pushed aside with "A man falsely accused of rape can learn something from the experience."

It is the vocal few and the practicing many that ruined it.
Crazy ass bitches ruined feminism the same way that Hitler ruined the nazis. I just don't see any redemption left.

Even so, i have my doubts when any feminist says she's for equality. Because what they usually mean is they want equality for women. It never occours to them that just maybe men are being treated unfairly by society & the law in general due to sexism.

Try to be more open-minded about it. Stereotyping leads to a lot of bad things.

Its not a case of sterotyping, its straight up observation. When was the last time you heard of a feminist fighting for male reproductive rights? When was the last time you heard a feminist say that all domestic violence was a crime including DV peretrated by women? When was the last time you heard feminists call Rape Shield Laws a travesty of justice?
Feminists seem to be all for equality... Equality for women that is. Equality for men they could care less about, in which case you aren't really for equality.

I can understand your point of view, but not all feminists are the way you describe, and assuming they are is indeed stereotyping. The movement has been hijacked and unfortunately, between the crazies who have hijacked it and the people like you who have been burned by the crazies, it makes it difficult for any of us to be taken seriously. As a result, we often keep our mouths shut because it's not worth getting stereotyped as a crazy man-hater.
True feminists like me do want to work with men on all the things you just listed (because feminists are still needed for those exact reasons), but it's become pretty difficult to make progress because of the connotation the word has these days. You and my comic are describing feminazis, not feminists.

I'm sorry but if you aren't also out to help with those things you aren't really interested in Equality. If you think feminism is about equality of the genders & you aren't trying to get equality for both genders, you've failed at your stated goal before you've even started.
