The best panel here has got to be 3. It would have been even better if her ears were tilted much farther back to show how sad she is, but her expression and the way he's trying to comfort her almost make up for it. Personally I think you do much better with close-up scenes, andΒ I always like your vivid colors.
If I was to venture a guess who might harbor a memory of him... Meh, I'll go with Big. He's so simple-minded there's a chance the Genesis Wave couldn't entirely wipe everything out. Him or Silver, anyway.

Most fans believe that Gemerl is the post-SGW version of Shard.
I like to believe that while was never announced in the comics, that Metal Sonic 3.0 from Sonic Rivals 2 is a good contendor to be the post-SGW of Shard.

Very well done! (I cried) and a good story enter to the heart of the reader! I have the same feeling about them than I used to have with my favorites couples (like Sonic and Sally)
