So basically you need a plate to make a plate XD HAHA.

The little white plates are adorable ;_; did you make them also, or did you buy them?

Thanks alot for the tutorial. Where can you buy colored clay? Everytime I see colored clay it is usually air dry clay or it never dries out.

Michaels and AC Moore sell different colors of polymer clay. You can also buy it on-line on eBay or Etsy. There are a ton of on-line stores too. If you can only find white polymer clay you can color it using ground up chalk pastels. You can visit my polymer clay article:[link] to find out more.

I wonder how polymerclay is called in French.

chat-noir In reply to philho [2007-06-07 16:17:34 +0000 UTC]

I'm not sure. I took French for 4 years and the topic never came up. That's a really odd question. I never thought of it before. ^_^

You can buy the clay on-line is shops or on eBay. Or make a friend with someone in the states and do a swap with them. They can be such fun. You trade items that each other can not get in their country/state/town.

I always love your tutorials! And I love the fact that you used a strawberry crush cap. The drink is yummy, and I love that the caps look so vintage. I collect caps like that to make jewelry from, but, unfortunately, it's hard to find anything but orange crush here, and I don't drink the orange kind that much.

chat-noir In reply to sugaredheart [2007-05-22 21:39:53 +0000 UTC]

I love strawberry sodas so I just had to use it in the tut. But watch out about bottle cap jewelry. On the craft site craftster.org I'm on (under the ID iampoison) a girl who made bottle cap jewelry was almost sued over trying to sell it. They tried to make her pay $5000. Thankfully she got a lawyer and got rid of the whole mess if she promised to never do it again.

LINK to the whole thing:[link]

sugaredheart In reply to chat-noir [2007-05-22 22:50:48 +0000 UTC]

Oh my! I haven't sold any of mine. I usually keep it as one of those unique conversation starters that I wear. LOL. Thanks for letting me know, though, before I actually DID sell it. It's crazy, though. Many, many people make jewelry from bottle caps, and you never see them stop selling their things. It's really sad that an artist could get sued, (or at least get a c&d) over using them in her jewelry. Thanks so much for sharing. You could have just saved me a lot of trouble! I hear a lot about craftster.org. A lot of people are members there. Is it a good site for polymer clay artists?

chat-noir In reply to sugaredheart [2007-05-22 23:28:15 +0000 UTC]

Yeah it's great. There is a polymer clay board and it has a ton of amazing artists and tutorials and a section to ask questions about tips and such. I love it. ^_^

chat-noir In reply to ZaneLeblanc [2007-05-21 21:28:09 +0000 UTC]

I didn't even know there was pineapple crush. I only had strawberry and grape. Pineapple sounds yummy.

ZaneLeblanc In reply to chat-noir [2007-05-21 22:23:54 +0000 UTC]

Grape....I think I've had grape.

Pineapple is only really available in Newfoundland, Canada.

After seeing your strawberry cap, I have now made it my goal to try as many possible kinds. ^-^;

I looked up all the different flavors they ever had and here's what I found:
# Grape Crush
# Strawberry Crush
# Chocolate Crush
# Cherry Crush
# Peach Crush
# Blue Raspberry Crush
# Diet Orange Crush
# Crush Frozen Orange Dream
# Green Apple Crush (New for 2005)
# Lime Crush
# Pineapple Crush
# Crush Birch Beer
# Crush Cream Soda (Canada only)
# Crush Grape Fruit
# Crush Tropical Punch
# Wild Cherry Crush (1989 only)

Wow so many...
