Page for my "Practical Visitor's Guide to the Labyrinth"
Painted in Photoshop CS5, using the film as reference.
About 6 hours of work.

Sorry about the copious watermarks. They aren't going anywhere. Don't ask. I am SO proud of this project so far, and would hate to see any part of this turn up somewhere else.

Page one of Sir Didymus's two page spread. A few people suggested that I add Sir Didymus to my list, and I've been eager to try drawing him again, since I consider my first attempt to be an epic fail lol... think I did MUCH better this time!
I had so much information that I wanted to include for this guy so he wound up with a page and a half, and his loyal steed gets a half a page.

Awww, ha-ha! Sir Didymus has always been one of my favourite characters, ever since I first saw "Labyrinth" as a kid. I especially like the random little tidbits here, such as "7-time Scrabble Champion".

He's such a cute character, seems like he's more popular than I though he was! I'm really glad you like the tidbits... I try to base them on little tiny hints in the movie, like at the very end of the movie when Sir Didymus asks if anyone is in for a game of scrabble

Haha! Oh I _forgot_ about that line until just now...but yeah!
To give you an idea how much I remembered this character, when I was reading the Harry Potter books? The first time Sir Cadugan (if I'm spelling that right) showed up and was all...the way he is (one guy--who's a _painting_--being all "I shall defend this castle with my very life!" etc.) , I instantly quipped, in Sir Didymus's voice/accent:
"Do you give up? I have _you_ surrounded!"
Rheepicheep from Narnia is another one of that type, but of course I can't really snark about him, as he was created decades earlier. Heh.

His name is spelled with an "O", but otherwise you got Sir Cadogan's name right. And he DOES seem somewhat an homage to Labyrinth. Then again, Hogwarts is about as hard to get around as the Labyrinth is.
