Flower photography is only unoriginal if you make it. 
Which you didn't. Your shot is vibrant with colours and you also have an interesting focus.

My mom mostly does the outside around the porch and carport with her plants. My friend has this huge purplish-pink hibiscus at her house that's supposed to be some kind of hybrid. I can't remember what she called it.
