Description Watercolur on A4 paper. Based on a photo:  www.deviantart.com/enaruna/art… by enaruna( www.deviantart.com/enaruna).

Two observations from this painting:
1. I will probably have to buy a scanner as the process of taking a photo of watercolour painting and then digitally trying to adjust it so it looks like original is infurating.
2. I've wasted a lot of time using cellulose paper but not pure cotton. The colours are vibrant after paint dries, the layering works like magic... The disadvantages are that it is definitely harder to fix mistakes from the pure cotton, it's more expensive and my masking fluid leaves some of its green colour behind so I'll have to buy a new one. Not to mention that I have a stash of 30 or 40 sheets of my old paper and now I only want to work on the new one xD

Scanner...try to find a good one. Most of them "eat" colors...my doesn't like yellow. And I also have problem with soft color transitions into white. It's hard to get pick up by the scanner. Also if you have a scan, you will have to edit it. The colors look mostly dull and not so saturated. Search on the internet which brands and types are good.

For the masking fluid I recommend the Schmincke one (I have the white one). It never sticks to my paper...though I have it for 2 or 3 days on.

Thanks for the recommendation I've been thinking about looking into Schmincke brand for some time, so I'll definitely check their masking fluid.
I used a scanner when I lived elsewhere and the scans weren't perfect but at least whites were whites... It was much easier to edit "flat" picture than a photo which has some whites as greys and some as yellows

PS. I see you're living in Slovenia. I'm going to visit your contry in autumn, it really looks like a fairytale on the photos

Yes the whites are perfect in scans and also the details are so good visible and sharp. And I can do it day or night...for which when I need to take a photo can't.

Yes...I'm from the looks-like-a chicken-land

We have everything...mountains, land fields, sea, forests...and the best part...everything is very close together.

We are you going?...Bled, Postojna, Ljubljana? tell me tell me. You can do it in a too
