Description
This is my favorite of my watercolors from the Eurail trip. Gimmelwald is a tiny village way up in the Swiss Alps, about a third of the way up the Schilthorn, to be more specific. There are no cars; you can only get to it by cable car or walking. The path in the picture goes from Gimmelwald to Murren, the next village. Gimmelwald is a favorite destination for hikers, for obvious reasons. It's a magical place, one of the most peaceful places I've ever visited, and I don't think I could ever give this painting up. This is so beautiful! I totaly understand why you won't be able to give this up. I've visited MΓΌrren for about three times a year over the past nine years and I must agree that it is one of the most magical places in the world. I've campletely fallen in love with it. You really managed to capture the beauty and peacefullness of the place! Well done!

The beauty of the watercolor and because I spent my honeymoon there (Murren, Grindewald, Interlaken and so on). But it was a lot of years ago ...
