Mr Mikami left Capcom to make Evil Within. Both Laura and Alessa suffer horrible fates involving fire.(I haven't finished yet, don't spoil!)
Alessa's reincarnation Heather and Laura's little brother innocent Ruben are both blonde.
Their parents did something horrible to them, one way or another.
The pieces are starting to fall into place!!!!!!
I felt so bad fighting Laura after knowing her backstory. I feel so sorry for her(and innocent boy Ruben) ;_;

Yeah. Laura is not an evil character. The Laura in monster form ni the game is just a manifestation of Ruvik's revenge and hatred to his parents. He truly loved his sister and she was the only close friend of his when he was a child. I just don't know why their parents are such nuts!
Silent Hill is a fantastic game too! And yeah, you're right! Alessa was sacrificed by her mother due to her religious beliefs while Laura sacrificed herself to save her younger brother from the fire. And both takes place inside their home.
They say villains should die, but most of them have pitiful or rather depressing past.

I think we've all forgotten about another poor villain--Walter Sullivan. Abandoned by parents? Check. Sacrificing himself(technically) to summon a loved one? Check. Is very capable to true love, even though he's a psychotic killer? Check.
Almost wish there was some way to save him...

He thinks that completing the 21 Sacraments ritual will save him and his other younger self and will be safe forever inside his 'mother's womb'. It's really weird. Or there is another way to save him using Alessa/Heather.

In the game, she's literally gorgeous. It's just too bad people in town are so judgmental when they learned about her powers.

Oh yes, it really sets the mood for the tragedies and sorrow that the developers wanted the players to feel. v_v As scary as the classic Silent Hill games were to many people, they were also very beautiful, and very sad too.

But at least, Alessa now is free in Heather's form. I just wished she comes back, with her long, black natural hair. The pure beauty!

Stanley was a sick and disturbing character. x( In some ways, I'm glad he didn't show up, he probably would have been some crazy enemy like Leonard. Actually, I just played some SH3 tonight, and got through the hospital (still gives me nightmares haha).
