Description
Since it's Father's Day today I thought I'd post a drawing I finished at the end of May because I haven't done any art specifically for Father's Day at all ( even though the main things I draw is Carl and Lenny as parents ). So here we have Carl and his younger daughter Lilja! Fun Fact, I got inspired to draw this because of 3 things :
One, I wanted to showcase Carl's relationship with the twins ( I'll probably do a drawing like this with Carl and Isak at some point).
Two, I remember seeing a scene like this with Homer and Lisa ( I can't recall what episode it was but in the scene I'm referencing Homer lifts Lisa up to his shoulders or something while they were in a parade? As I said I can't remember what episode it's from ).
And Three, I wanted to draw something based off an old photo of me and my Mum from when I was really little (it's basically the same as the drawing I did but with my Mum and little
me).

Now since I didn't do more art for today here's a little synopsis for how Carl, Lenny, and their kids would spend Father's Day ( in my headcanon universe ).
💜Lenny and Carl make special breakfast for each other to show how much they love and appreciate one another for supporting them and helping them with the kids.

💜 Then Lenny and his sister Lainie will go to visit the cemetery where their Dad was buried, bringing their respective kids with them. Although Lenny's father wasn't the best to him he tried talking about him in a positive light when telling Helga, Isak and Lilja about him.
💜When They come home Helga and the twins give out their Father's Day gifts to their Dads which were Flowers from Helga (Flowers she grew herself!), a drawing by Isak (a loving family portrait that went straight on the fridge), and a couples mug Lilja made for each of them at school (they have half hearts on them that form a full heart when placed together with the sentence "Best Dad Ever" on Carl's mug and "Best Dad and Mum Ever" on Lenny's mug ).
💜 The family then take a plain to Iceland to see Carl's parents, Carl's sister Carlotta comes to see their parents too with her daughters.
💜 They spend most of the day in Iceland and they wouldn't be going back home until after dinner. This gave Carl and Carlotta a lot of time to spend with their Dad and for Lenny to bond with his Father- In -Law , and their kids always loved spending time with their Grandpa and Grandmother and hearing stories about what Carl and Carlotta did when they were their ages (even if Carl and Carlotta found most of those stories embarrassing ).
💜 The Carlson Leonard family come home and go to bed, though Lenny and Carl had to get the kids all ready for bed and read their bedtime stories and kiss them goodnight before they could snuggle together for the night. Helga, Isak and Lilja each wished their parents a happy Father's Day as Lenny and Carl wished them all good nights.
💜Throughout the whole day Carl was thinking about his birth Father,Wyatt so he talked to Lenny about what little he knows about him when they got to bed, Lenny reassured Carl that even if they didn't get to know each other for too long Wyatt would have been very proud of Carl for who he's become and the family that he (Carl) and him (Lenny) have built together and that Wyatt loved Carl and his sister with all his heart . Carl never found out why he and Carlotta were put up for adoption but that talk he had with Lenny made him feel a lot better. He was beyond fortunate to be with someone like Lenny who understands and cares about him, and Lenny was lucky to find an amazing person like Carl who always accepted him for who he is and cared for him whenever he needed it. And nothing in the world could take away how proud they are to be parents and all of the love they have for their
children, the children they always wanted and dreamt of having, all beautiful, talented, and amazing Helga, Isak and Lilja are, like all their qualities neatly divided into Three. They loved each of them unconditionally and their children loved them more than anything in the world!
💜 They all went to sleep after a wonderful Father's Day filled with love.

Well,I hope you all liked my Father's Day Post and like the drawing as much as I do as well as the story I wrote in the description (if you read the description ) and I hope you've had a really wonderful Father's Day, whether you're spending time with your Dad today or you're a Dad yourself and your kid/kids are giving you the best day ever or a Grandad being celebrated by your kid/kids and grandchild/grandkids, and if you're a Dad in a same - sex relationship like Lenny and Carl then DOUBLE THE SPECIAL PEOPLE TO CELEBRATE ! !
