The average human's hair grows half an inch a month. By the second season finale of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Zuko's hair looks about 3-4 inches long. Which would mean that 6-8 months have passed since the beginning of season two, in which Zuko had a shaved head. But that couldn't possibly be, unless Sozin's comet is arriving, like, tomorrow.Therefore, I have proven without a doubt, that ZUKO IS WEARING A WIG!!
Or this comic is just an excuse to draw Aang and Zuko being silly together.

GAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! i made a whole long thing here that was deleted!!! i explained the whole timeline... well i'll type it up again...
As everyone knows, there is one full moon a month (with a few exceptions) so there were 3 weeks in between seasons 1 and 2 (as iroh said in avatar state) and there is a full moon in the season 1 finale and then another full moon in return to omashu so we can come to the conclusion that there is a month in between season 1 and episode 23 and then there is another full moon in the blind bandit so thatβs 9 weeks after season 1 and before spring since spring starts at about episode 28. then there is another full moon in the desert so thatβs 13 weeks and then yet another full moon in the serpentβs pass so thereβs 17 weeks and the rest of the episodes except for episodes 35 and 36 are consectutive so I would give the second half of season 2 about a month so thatβs 21 weeks. Now we subtract the 3 weeks from that and we have 18 weeks in season 2. so there were 6 weeks before spring and 12 weeks during, which means it took the second half of winter and all of spring for season 2. (im gonna keep going) then there were 3 weeks in between the second and third seasons and about a month for the first half of season 3 which leaves 5 weeks for the second half of season 3 before the finale. All of this also means that season 1 started no earlier than october because in the great divide it was the dry season and because the great divide was located in the northern hemisphere, and the dry season starts in October for the northern hemisphere, the first season started some time after the beginning of October but I assume it wasnβt too much after that because season 1 ended in mid-january.
anyway, based on that, there were 18 weeks in which zuko let his hair grow out which, if we are saying zuko's hair is 3 inches long by the season 2 finale, then his hair grew at a rate of 2/3 of an inch per month, now is that such a crazy outlier?

hahahah this bothered me too, when he showed up with that long shaggy hair....I was all "this looks good, but there's NO WAY....Sozin's comet "came at the end of the summer" thus it was spring/or midsummer when the series started, and almost fall when it ended....no one's hair grows that fast.

Here's a theory- Zuko and Aang unconciosly share their hair growth rate,so naturally when aang is bald, all the hair goes to zuko,hence his rapidly-growing hair magic. When aang gets hair for a short while,you see that zuko's hair suddenly stops growing so much in season 3. Furthermore,their hair is the same color,furthering my evidence.
