Asmodei is a dreamer. He wanders through life with a soft smile and a kind heart, and a mind that is always wandering. The only time his mind is 100% focused is when he is playing his music, or in moments of immediate crisis. He is softspoken when he does speak and laughs easily. It is very hard to rile him up or ruffle his feathers. He prefers the quiet company of nature or a small gathering to the hustle and bustle of city life and large crowds. He has a wanderlust and is restless if he stays in one place for too long, so is often found meandering far and wide to explore all the untouched, wild areas of the world. He enjoys company and loves telling and hearing good stories of all kinds, but he very much values his independence and alone time, else he gets antsy.

His dreamy nature combined with his large size and many limbs makes him awfully clumsy, and he has been known to whack people (entirely on accident) with his wings or tail.

He has a soft spot for animals (especially the small ones) and is known to make friends with them and nurse them to health if injured.

asmodei was born in the mountains far to the north, to a tight-knit clan of dragons that lived hunting fish in the frigid rivers and worshipping gods of winter and snow. the landscape, for most of the year, was cold and unforgiving, and asmodei looked forward to the two months of summer when the wildflowers would peek out from the ground. to pass the time and bring joy in the dark months, his clan placed high value on music and performing arts. from a young age, asmodei was raised to play the lyre and the flute (they learned early on that he was far too clumsy to be a dancer). long nights were spent gathered around the fire, singing and huddled together for warmth. asmodei's mother was a weaver, and his father a hunter. they both passed on their trade to him, but asmodei naturally gravitated more towards the quiet, earnest work his mother performed. from her, he developed a strong sense of style (mostly warm, heavy, embroidered clothing) and a knack for making his own clothes. when asmodei was a young adult, he grew tired of their lifestyle. as much as he loved his family and clan, the few months of greenery every year was not enough to keep him satisfied. one day, in the dead of winter, he packed his clothing and wished his clan the best, and struck off towards the south. the only goal he had in mind was to wander the earth and know more than just the harsh winter snow. he visits home often, however, always bringing gifts and stories and songs that he has gathered on his travels to his clan. asmodei makes money on the road by being a performer and artist. his flute and lyre playing skills are strong, and he turns his experiences into songs that he performs in inns, at festivals, for private patrons. he also makes a pretty penny for selling the clothing he makes, usually upon special request. he doesn't have a lot of money, nor does he need it - his upbringing is such that he can survive on his own in the woods quite well. That being said, he does very much enjoy listening to other peoples' stories by the fire, so he makes a point to go into town regularly.asmodei is a romantic at heart, and has dated in the past - but usually not for very long. his nomadic nature makes it hard for him to settle down, even for sometime he cares about very much. inevitably, his relationships end when asmodei is not willing to settle in one town, but all the people he has loved he is still on good terms with.as he wanders, he makes friends with the woodland creatures with his music and his soft demeanor. no matter where he goes, he does not often feel lonely. He woke up to Yggdrasil at first not realizing anything had changed at all, until he noticed the absence of familiar birdsong. asmodei is a recent arrival, and has sent the last few months wandering about as per usual, trying to figure out what is going on. the latest city he has found himself in was a town by the name of Seaside.
