Description I've been playing around with a new technique for illustrating animals & plants (among other things). It's a scientific illustration method of shading using dots, and it's extremely time-consuming but for some reason horribly addictive...I've spent most of Christmas adding tiny pen dots to new illustrations!

The full view is at least twice the size of the original, but I've made it big enough to see the dots!

Ugh, stippling! So time consuming, and yet I agree, quite addicting. I like the combination of dark outline and stippling shading.
