Bushido's colour really looks just like my Chisei's. Do you have any pictures of him when he's a bit older? I keep scratching my head over what colour my lad is going to end up - red or sesame. It's a wee bit frustrating that a shiba's colour isn't truly finished until it's about 5 years old, and even then it can shift a little with each shedding...

Bushido is really a light red sesame. But there is still a lot of black there. He lost almost all of the black on his muzzle which I loved so much. This is him at about 9 months. I will have to put up a new one of him now that they are 2 years. Ill let you know when I do!

Yep, the black is meant to go away, leaving white (well, cream) urajiro behind.
Koori, who is a proper sesame, had lost nearly all the soot on the muzzle by the time she was around five months, so I had hoped the same would go for shiba number two, but oh no.
At around 7 months, Chisei weighed roughly 21 lbs, and I don't think he's gone much heavier than that in the month that's passed since then.

Bushido was actually a little smaller than that. He is only about 18-19lbs now. Jin is about 26lbs and 3 months younger. I have some photos of Bushido when he was about 8 weeks and he is completely ash colored. It is amazing to see the difference!

they are both males. Bushido is just small. he is about 18-19lbs now and almost a year and a half old. Jin is about 28 lbs and is almost 14 months old. they do grow way too fast!!!

Oh wow, that is pretty small/light. Renji is now just a little over 7 months old and he's around 30 lbs like Jin. ^^

I figured that might've been the case. I know the females can be smaller, but I couldn't imagine Renji being that tiny!
