Description
Piccolo watches Goten trundle past him, catch of the day clenched tightly in one fist. For a moment time flashes by in reverse and the aging namek is much younger, watching a very similar face smile up at him.

"Piccolo-san! Piccolo-san, look what I caught!" The boy laughs, waving the dead creature about before him. Piccolo grunts and frowns away the itch of a smile on his lips. "Enough; eat your fill kid. Training resumes in ten whether you're through or not."

The namek closes his eyes to bring himself back to the present before the memory leads to...other things that threaten to overwhelm him. He slides into a sitting position. "Goten," he says,"come here for a minute." The spikey-haired child alters course immediately, dragging the giant fish behind him. "What is it Piccolo-san?" He blinks, eager to hear what his normally silent sensei has to say. Piccolo steadies himself for a moment. Time was running out and it was time the kid knew what had really happened to his brother, to his family; to everyone.

Meeeh, just scribbling around in Paint Tool Sai, can't sleep. Writing myself a bedtime story to see if it helps.
