I'm sure you had to. Did you use any specific kind of canvas to allow for more detail? I'm reletively new to painting and I want to try some different canvas ideas.

No. I bought pre-stretched canvas and just got the only stuff they had at Jerry's Artarama. I used the Edge Gallery Depth canvas. The detail was achieved just by spending three days toying with it.

Hm. I've heard you can get more detail on stretched linen just because the weave of the cloth is finer. I have never done an extremely detailed painting so I wouldn't know but I hope to soon.

I have some linen in my studio, but I haven't used it yet. I'll let you know how it goes.

I was a little worried that robots were saturating the market, but my friend Randall loves them so much I painted this guy in his honor. I guess I could do more, as long as they aren't cliche.

I had 50something deviations just now-I usually dont even look at who it is I just look at the art -and go "mark all" delete-"mark all" delete-Saw this-fell in love-and my immediate thought was "They took Bryan's colors"-But-It WAS your art thankfully..Ummm-Dude, I painted those 4 "Big eye Girl" paintings because I wanted to? Heck NO!!!!!!!! I did it to outshine the queens of Big Eye-put a fire under their butts to spice up their theme with original concepts like they used to..and for attention..I know of 2 "robot dudes" on the market--and one of em adds doughnuts{hmmmm-wonder why my last painting had 3 big azz doughnuts featured in front?-Haaaaa!} Its to say"Im Here-I know what your doing-and I am putting a heartfelt creative spin on your territory" ( Ive sketched out some funky robots for the past 2 months-but mine keeps looking like the Iron Giant etc---Ill stick to my Disney ranting for now........Love this man!!!

Thanks for the input. I really take your words to heart. This painting was so much fun, I actually want to paint more robots, I'll just have to come up with some bizarre situations for them. Something that hasn't been seen. Mmmm. Now I want some doughnuts.
